Our Story
After a combined 20 years at Knight Frank and over 40 years as London estate agents, Matt Smith and Kris Ericsson have joined forces to offer a new approach to client’s needs. We noticed that estate agency seems to have become less about relationships and really understanding a client’s needs, but rather a means of meeting KPIs and pointless targets often taking time away from servicing clients.
Smith & Ericsson is a multiple award winning bespoke service specialising in excellent customer service and professional property advice. Our aim is to offer a select collection of the best properties across all price-ranges, combined with a tailor made 24 hours a day, 7 days a week client advice service, that benefits from our years in the industry and data base of contacts from all over the world.
Our expertise and honest advice are the corner stone of our business and is why we are fortunate to have so many clients who trust us and know they can always rely upon our knowledge and advice.

Kris Ericsson
Founding Partner
Kris holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from Regent’s Business School London, and a Master’s degree in Real Estate Finance from Bayes Business School London, formerly CASS Business School. Having started his property career in 2004 in Mayfair and St. James’, Kris has an enviable insight into most of the new build developments across London, an intrinsic knowledge of prime Central London as well as an impressive array of deals conducted in South West London. Fluent in Swedish, Spanish and English, he has an impressive domestic and international client base and is incredibly attuned to cultural differences.
Many of Kris’ clients liaise with him exclusively as their main point of contact as his advice is always sincere, direct and with his client’s best interest at heart.
In developing an extensive network of excellent professional contacts and advisors, he is able to recommend the most suitable surveyors, architects, interior designers, wealth advisors, mortgage brokers and lawyers.
Originally from South Africa, Matt was educated in Johannesburg and studied Interior Design before moving to London in 1997. He has been in estate agency since 2001 and is well known for his honest and frank advice and is often recommended by his clients to their friends and associates.
With an expert knowledge of London and a career spanning many prime areas, as well as many years leading teams in both sales and lettings, it is not surprising that Matt has been responsible for many noticeable transactions in the capital. He is regarded for his creative thinking and is known for his enthusiasm when matching the right clients to the best properties, often creating a deal when one didn’t seem possible. Matt is happiest when he is dealing with clients and meeting their needs, and his work ethic and customer service is outstanding.
